How much sod should I order?

Sod is sold by 10 square foot rolls. 10 sq feet = 1.11 square yards, or .929 square meters. Each pallet contains 700 square feet. Please use our Volume Calculator to determine how much sod you will need for your project.

You will need to choose a shape (or combination of shapes) that most closely match the area to be sodded, in order to calculate the amount of land involved. Please use our Shapes and Formulas document as a guide.

A general rule of thumb is to order 5-10% more than you measured to account for cut-offs.
